Entrepreneurial University und GenderChange
landscape in Europe is currently undergoing a profound transformation.
Universities are being forced to re-position themselves competitively
under rapidly changing circumstances. These processes have a deep
impact on the organization of universities. They affect working
conditions in research, teaching and administration, and they have an
impact on the production of scientific knowledge. In particular, they
will affect the employment conditions of women and men, the production
of knowledge about gender and the institutionalization of Gender
Studies, as well as equality, diversity and politics of gender in
higher education. The newly established International Research Group
“Entrepreneurial Universities and Gender Change” will study these
transformations in a transnational, comparative perspective with a
focus on Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
